To provide support for aviation security managers through the development of new skills, ICAO has partnered with Concordia University to create the first AVSEC Professional Management Certificate.

The AVSEC-PM is a 12-week program (2 weeks on site and 10 weeks online).The curriculum of this course is comprised of 70% security and 30% management. The main objective of the AVSEC-PMC is to promote the use of management principles and best practices relevant to the field of AVSEC by applying training strategies including e-learning.

Ideal candidates include:

  • Air transportation industry managers
  • Future managers whose functions involves responsibilities in the area of aviation security.

This aviation-centric management program enhances the aviation management competencies of qualified personnel in the civil aviation community while promoting best practices with ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS Program.

The objective of this aviation-centric management program is to enhance the aviation management competencies of qualified personnel in the civil aviation community while promoting best practices with ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS Program and global aviation training activities. The program will be taught at a level equivalent to that of a graduate business program and will consist of three certificates: Strategic Management, Human Resources Management and Business Planning and Decision-Making. Successful completion of all three certificates will lead to a Management Certificate in Civil Aviation.

Ideal candidates include:

  • Aviation professionals and managers, from Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs), airlines, aerodrome operators and other service providers.

The Airports Council International (ACI) and the John Molson Executive Centre (Aviation Management Programs) have partnered to create this program targeted at future CEOs, Deputy CEOs or Vice-Presidents of airport operating organizations.

This program aims to develop airport industry leaders and to advance the professionalism of airport management practices. During the first three weeks of part-time online learning, participants will post an introductory message and take a personality type questionnaire. They will identify strategic challenges facing their respective organizations, read articles on contemporary leadership theory and complete an individual assignment.

  • Vice-Presidents of airport operating organizations
