CEO, Advanced Aerospace Solutions, LLC. Principal flight-test investigator and test pilot for NASA’s TASAR program flight trials. Received NASA Group Achievement Award and 2014 NASA Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award for the TASAR flight-test program.

1995 -

President, Marinvent Corporation. Developed the world-standard for certified aviation electronic charting applications. Recipient of numerous awards including an Aviation Week Laureate, the 2013 Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) Floyd Trophy, QC Aerospace enterprise of the year, and the Canadian American Business Achievement Award.

1993 - 1995

International Space Station MCE Manager, Canadian Space Agency. Responsible for the systems engineering of the MSS Robotics Control Station (MRCS), Artificial Vision Unit, and Operations Control Software for the Canadian robotic systems. Led a multinational, multi-disciplinary, team through the MRCS requirements definition and concept design stages. These included the design and conduct of evaluations performed by NASA astronauts to define the man-machine interfaces for the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS) and Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM).

1983 - 1993

Project Officer and Experimental Test Pilot, Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE).

Certification and Qualifications

  • FAA, Transport Canada, CAA (UK), and JAR (European) Airline Transport Pilot licenses, with numerous type and instructor ratings, both fixed and rotary wing, land and sea; Transport Canada Delegated Test Pilot (DAR 305) with Type Rating Exemption. Over 6,000 hours of flight time.
  • Fellow of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) and Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
  • Associate Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots & the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
